This post talks about “Do You Wanna Touch” by Joan Jett. For those of you not familiar with this song, it came out in the early 1980’s and was on her Bad Reputation album. To refresh your memory or introduce you to this song, I was nice enough to include a link to the video on YouTube. You can tell that Ms. Jett really wants to “touch” as she asks it seems link over a million times. This video even got positive reviews from Beavis and Butt-head.
Do You Wanna Touch: Who Does She Want to Touch?
She wants guys to touch her and, as evidenced by her song A.C.D.C., she has no problem touching a girl or two as well. Apparently, if someone asked her the question “Do You Wanna Touch,” the answer would be YES! Would you throw a shit-fit if you were called upon to “touch” her? I didn’t think so! Here is a picture of what you would be touching. This is a still image from the Do You Wanna Touch video.
Do You Wanna Touch?: You might want to think twice!
The song Do You Wanna Touch is not her original song. It was originally released in 1973 by British glam rocker Gary Glitter. He is known mostly for this song “Rock and Roll, Part 2“, a song played all the time at sporting events. Gary Glitter (real name Paul Francis Gadd) is also known as a convicted sex offender. He was arrested in 1997 after he took his laptop in for repairs and they found some child pornography on it. Later he moved to Vietnam where he was convicted in 2006 on multiple charges of molesting underage girls. Apparently he was not able to control his “touching” habits!
